Jan. 18--KILBUCK TWP. -- The developer of a proposed Wal-Mart-anchored shopping plaza in Kilbuck Township has been slapped with nearly a half-million dollars in civil penalties for failing to come up with sufficient plans to stabilize the site of a September landslide along Route 65.
The state Department of Environmental Protection filed a complaint Wednesday against Kilbuck Properties that carries civil penalties of $470,000, the maximum allowed under the state's "Clean Streams Law."
